I'm not interested in discussing this with you any further. Cheersmet wrote:No. I wasn't so much constructing my own idea idea as just trying to kick some holes in yours.

Re: Sarin gas maybe used in Syria.
(It's funny, I just finished The Player of Games by Iain M. Banks and there's a tremendously complex game in it called Azad that functions as the central cultural institution of an empire with the same name - their leaders are drawn from winners at the tournaments - and lately I can't help but see t...

met: conception and reality
But our thoughts can have intention without extension - they can connote without denoting. We can posit false connections and there can be real ones that elude us. So it follows that there's something outside of our models. No. Cuz the "stuff" outside our models could still just be more relations, ...

Re: do you guys think this is as evil as I?
I started talking to this guy then gave up. So I suggested that valu...

Meta, this is an excellent post full of briefly expressed and insightful observations. [hi-5s you] I love colored things! I love those straws! I love them.!! We don't have to be full blown idealists to reject reductionism. My point about rejecting it is not to enforce some arbitrary predil...

Re: Limits of democracy
This is sounding a lot like consequentialism / utilitarianism. Not that that's a bad thing - but you're saying that something generally recognized as negative - dictatorship, here - can have greater positive consequences overall, contra the Kantian idea of always doing the "right thing" regardless.

Re: the tragedy in West, Texas
This "tragedy" was obviously rigged by the EPA to punish the honest American businessman for not obeying the socialist / Islamic regime. Now the false flag explosion will be used as an excuse to impose communistic "green" Shariah law on Texans and take away their guns. Also, windmills are mind contr...
