Re: How was your day?
thanks... I wish I could remember what I do to change mine. LOL.... I just fiddle with it until something works and then I completely forget how I did it. That would account for the sky hole in my forehead there. Well, keep working on it, or find a 10 yr old to do it for you! They know how to do eve...

Re: Were You Created to Be Tortured Forever?
To answer Unred Typo's question-- I think the whole issue of God's foreknowledge and our free will is also beyond our understanding. But one thing I am sure of is that Judas and Pharoah and so on chose their actions-- God didn't force them into anything, or predestine them for something they had no...

Re: Moses' autobiography
Actually, I have not found in the Bible itself the title, ‘the Five Books of Moses’. Do you have a reference for that? I know for a fact Moses didn’t write Deut. 34:1-12, since this records his death and burial. I guess I have just always not worried about authorship and go with my gut feeling about...

Re: Were You Created to Be Tortured Forever?
Now that we have a pretty good understanding of what hell is, maybe since I started this thread I should attempt to get my question answered. Does anyone here believe that God created Judas or Pharaoh or Esau specifically knowing they would end up in hell? Or is everyone who gives a flip actually in...

Re: Moses' autobiography
I certainly am no expert on these things but it seems to me that saying that Moses wrote any books would be pure speculation. It never says he wrote them anywhere, does it? He was so busy hearing complaints, he had to appoint seventy men to help out. It seems more likely that it was a concensus of w...

Re: On God And Hi Providence-Zarovian
I think we should focus especially on the wants and needs our fellow beings. It is difficult to spend an entire day focusing on one's own desires without (perhaps inadvertently) harming others and making regretful decisions. If, on the other hand, we keep other people in mind throughout the day, an...

Re: Thought about Nontheistic Christianity
Meta said"yea, you got it! I really appreciate you Wordgazer. You always dig what I say. The term "father" is an analogical term. God is like and not like a father. all "likeness" also contains "no like" or it wouldn't' make sense. So we must be aware of both the positive likeness and the merely me...

That's 'the state' for ya. I don't live in Ca, but they're all the same. A little power and they want to run your lives.
