Re: do me a favor please?
Note that neither of you addressed what was said, merely the way it was said. I assure you that I can be exceedingly gentle and kind (in some places well known for it). But someone tried that a long time ago. Guess what happened to him. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RaVYPzajoAc/UC01X_w6xTI/AAAAAAAAAMo/s...

That is probably true.KR Wordgazer wrote:I don't think, James, that you quite realize how dismissive, belittling and superior you sound.
But then, I always listen to women.

Re: do me a favor please?
It's easy for a man to say that talk of women's equality in the church is irrelevant. All the time I hear men in the church talking about women and what women can't do. It would be good if these men would actually start talking TO women and listening to them, rather than talking ABOUT them and list...

Re: do me a favor please?
Normally, I don't participate in these kinds of discussions. I find them a tad vulgar, not because I have a strong opinion one way or another, but rather because I instantly see such concern beneath where the heart and mind should be. Imagine taking the time to have a church meeting to discuss wheth...

Re: do me a favor please?
Speaking of that site, do you believe that women and men should have identical authority in church?
..and then, what is (in general terms) your source for such belief?

Re: I will have to find a new message board
Consider yourself fortunate. When that kind of thing happens to me, I usually don't discover my mistake until after I have already given up and rebuilt things elsewhere.

Re: Hello,
Know means to know God because one can meet God "face to face". So the claim is that a person can "meet God face to face".... "and live" (I presume)? That would be different than Moses taught, but not really different than Jesus taught (depending on your interpretation of 'God' and 'Jesus'). So hav...

Re: Hello,
So you're saying that a Gnostic is someone who believes that there is a God, but there is no way to experience God? :?: :? ...seems amiss. 1580s, "believer in a mystical religious doctrine of spiritual knowledge," from L.L. Gnosticus, from Late Gk. Gnostikos, noun use of adj. gnostikos "knowing, abl...
