Re: Money really can't buy happiness. Can't even rent it.
Great point! That's the first thing anyone should consider after hearing about a survey: Correlation does not imply causation. It could be that money decreases savoring, savoring decreases money, or some unrelated third factor influences both. Perhaps advanced degrees in law or finance increase mone...

Re: 9/11 was an "inside job"
I'm slowly working through your links, sgttomas. I noticed that molten steel in the rubble is a common concern for both you and URBILD. I have no doubt that steel melted deep within the rubble of each tower. Iron sulfides and disintegrated steel beams were to be expected. Here's why: Steel burns in ...

Re: 9/11 was an "inside job"
Indeed. And when you read the reports, the discrepancy between the science and the political conclusions drawn from it is obvious. While never going to the point of outright fraud, it is very misleading (ala the IPCC reports). Do you have any specific examples? I could understand political conclusi...

Re: 9/11 was an "inside job"
You obviously don't know what you are talking about. NIST abandoned the truss failure theory as obsolete and unworkable back in 2004. You obviously can't read, as I didn't suggest that floor trusses failed. Yeah, unfortunately that's a myth widely circulated on the net. The fact is, Harrit's team t...

Re: alarm!
I am alarmed, depressed, angered and disgusted about the way the dems are just self destructing. Lose one election and they just head for the hills. It makes me want to scream. I'm disappointed by all this talk about a supermajority. Lately the mere threat of a filibuster is sufficient to derail le...

Re: 9/11 was an "inside job"
I've done a lot of personal research into this question, and I've come to the conclusion that the collapse of the towers was not an "inside job." There is no hard evidence of pre-planted explosives at the WTC, and no convincing explanation for how they got there, who planted them, or how they aligne...
