Re: Omnipotence of God

"and after all that your not a mystic? I would be praying without ceasing" . I think I was too shocked then p'd off to do anything? I did learn that even God has a sense of humor. They are a great bunch of blokes, would lay down their own lives for their mates. I bet even God was chuckling at that ...

Re: On God And Hi Providence-Zarovian

The Scriptures say that the desire of a righteous man shall be given him, and the fear of the wicked shall befall them. This is true indeed a saying, and our Own Lord did say that whatsoever we shall ask in Prayer shall be given us, and St. James said that we must pray and believe, and we shall rec...

Websters Dictionary; Pagan. 1: heathen 1; especially : a follower of a polytheistic religion (as in ancient Rome) 2: one who has little or no religion and who delights in sensual pleasures and material goods : an irreligious or hedonistic person. I cannot see how any church would be able to discern...

Re: Omnipotence of God

I am interested in how the mystical religions fit or don't fit into the whole picture. It seems like Paul tried to make a bridge when he stood up at Mars Hill in Acts 17. I keep looking for those kind of connections in these other religions. It's hard for me to believe that God left all the world w...

Re: Omnipotence of God

For your sake Haz, I'll stick around. That was very kind of you. For the record, I'm just being practical. When "what we have here is a failure to communicate" (to borrow a movie line), I think it's wise to just drop it and move on. I've been in more message boards than I can count, and this sort o...

Re: Omnipotence of God

I'm reading this, but I'm missing this too I guess. Why is meditation not compatible with Christianity, if it is just an exercise? How does this upset anything in the verses quoted and why were the verses quoted in answer to the previous verses? :?

You guys are all giving me a headache.... :?

Re: God, perfection, good and evil

As I said, God is informed of all happenings in their importance and in their compliance to His fully known, from beginning to end, plan for man. I'm curious about this... what do you mean fully known from beginning to end? Do you think he knows the names of those who will be saved from beginning t...
