Re: is the Resurrection old hat?

I believe there is more than one floating around. This is the one I believe is authentic:

Have you actually read it? It's really quite cool. 8-)

Re: The Plan Of Salvation in The Churches Of Christ.

It'd also dpend on where you attend. I ew up in the CHurhces of CHrst, and share most of the theology. I by no means blidnly follow it, buttbink it doe make the most sence. I disagree ion minor points. Also, the strictness may not be as evident if you actually attend. So, it'd also be wise to visit...

Re: Were You Created to Be Tortured Forever?

Jasher is a lost book that is referred to in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18. Most people don’t think it is genuine but I tend to think it is, with a few places that are more exaggeration or just poorly translated. Here is a link to a free copy: http://www.ccel.org/a/anonymous/jasher/home.html The Et...

Re: Salvation and Other faiths

Hi there unred. Its great to be here. I am ready and willing to learn. You know my thoughts on Scriptures and the Bible in general. If I post one or more on any doctrin, expressing my understanding, and someone comes along as says I am wrong, then all I ask is they put up as many, if not more than ...

Re: God, perfection, good and evil

Ok, I’ve had this discussion with my father on occasion. He had a very hard time accepting that God could know everything everywhere at once, but to me, it’s just very normal to think about him doing. Just because he sends messengers (or even going himself) to do things in person, does that rule out...

Re: TO OPEN

Moses asked to see God's glory as expressed in His face or countenance, not to see His body orface apart from His glory. That Moses did see God's literal face is clearly stated in verse 11, where it says, "And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face as a man speaketh unto his friend, and that he and...

Re: God, perfection, good and evil

I thought God does know all things that are happening right now, and he knew all things that have happened in the past, but he doesn’t know, as you say, “all acts and particular events of all the vast creations of free moral agents from all eternity past; or that He has fixed decrees choosing and pr...

Re: Were You Created to Be Tortured Forever?

That’s all very interesting, Haz. I need to reread it when I’m awake. I have my own theory about the flood layers, no gaps, but that’s another thread and I‘ll have to admit I believe the book of Jasher to be pretty accurate scripture for the most part and has filled in those gaps for me. So I gather...

Re: Christianity and Buddhism

Here’s a verse that has kinda tweaked my imagination about that: Act 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia , Just wondering why and what you wrote brought it to mind. Later, chapter 19, they did go th...
