I don't think so. The Christians of that era didn't have a problem with allegorizing the Scributres. But as you probably know, Christianity had become depoliticized as it was transformed into the established religion of the Empire.

Yes, I do. I just came across the Social Gospel a couple days ago while unpacking a box that's been waiting to be unpacked since April of 08 when we moved here. He was great.
say a little mention of process theology on the adventure board. it's in the thread about atheist world view.
