Did you know that millions self-absorbed ignorant parasites who care about "rights" can actually vote in America? Apparently, this guy feels that anyone who doesn't agree with his juvenile understanding of politics, history and religion is in fact dumber and less responsible than he is. So in his view either we need to only allow extreme Christian fundamentalists to vote or we should just scrap democracy all together. I think we just found the King to Palin's Queen of the Tea Party.

To return to monarchy, re-introduce slavery, etc., is the logical extension of an approach to interpreting scripture that confuses the descriptive with the prescriptive in the Bible. If you believe that the way they lived in Bible times is God's way, then it makes sense to believe that God endorses theocracy, patriarchy, slavery, monarchy, etc-- and that everything modern is departing from God's will. The problem is getting people to see the inconsistencies in their position or the errors in their hermeneutics.
