Do reason and religious faith conflict? Are they compatible?

My Religious Faith comes from Reason, so I’d be forced to say they do not conflict and must be able to coexist.

I've just read Tillich "Dynamics of Faith". His arguement is that no they don't conflict.
However it all comes down to how you define both "Reason" and "Faith".

Can you explain this further, please?

Could you summarize Tillich's argument that they don't conflict, please?

Also, perhaps you could venture a definition of both "Reason" and "Faith"?

What’s to explain? I base my Faith on Reason. I believe in Christianity because it makes the most Logical sense to me, and I have seen the benefit to its moral codes, and the Theology seems to be True from my perspective. Therefore, I accept Christianity as True.

It's been some time since I read Dynamics of Faith I would have to refresh my memory on that. What does he say?

you shouldn't have asked two questions back to back that require different answers to say the same thing.

NO, they don't conflict.

I was, however, reminded of the problem of Western thought understanding humanity as rational while the reality suggests we are irrational. I see this irrational nature as a consequence of our contingent being. So we are irrational but we can be rational about it. Watch my blog for friday I'm going to try and do something on this.
