Mt. Eden,
Escape (this song is like a sound for a gladiator, or more like it sounds like a modern religious cathedral to me. I like classical instruments mixed with modern beats. But this sounds more like a cathedral singing)

Kid Cudi. The second video is interesting to watch.

Steve Gadd is a machine! :)

He's legendary, especially amongst other session drummers.

Fleet, your mention of Debussy reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSzAcqmWBq0&feature=related I've been a fan of Art of Noise for many years, but I just love this whole project: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seduction_of_Claude_Debussy

Some of my favorites, off the top of my head, are listed here:

Chick Corea - Children's' Songs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWKwQuE9g7U

Jan Garbarek - Twelve Moons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7tM4-r7hHI

Joni Mitchell - Yvette in English http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqsltKSWNRA

Basil Poledouris - Anvil of Crom from Conan The Barbarian (1982) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHfE682mm3c That whole score is one of the things that gave me me love of and passion for music.

Ennio Morricone - Gabriel's Oboe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ixby9BzJfEo&feature=related

Alexandre Desplat - The Painted Veil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6eqn_LKRLY

Rachel Portman - The Cider House Rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j6VsYYR4Qc

Jeremy Soule - Morrowind Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWuNf4gxwuM

Bear McCreary - Apocalypse from Battlestar Galactica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx41EliyPRI

Here are the lyrics and translation from that last one: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Soundtrack_%28Season_2%29#Lyrics_and_Translations

This is all just off the top of my head. I love all kinds of music, I used to say I liked everything, but country and polka, but some of the crossover country stuff isn't awful. Still not diggin' the polka though. ;-) Ask me about a genre and I'll tell you who I like.
Peace,
Mike aka MonolithTMA
