One of the hallmarks of freedom is that when you recognize someone is being intellectually dishonest or arguing with you in bad faith, you have the option to walk away without being punished, imprisoned or tortured.

Re: Peace agreement for Ukraine
This leaves the question: Will the United States and Europe get involved. Technically Britain and the US have a 1994 agreement to ensure Ukraine's sovereignty.

looks like we are getting ready for WWIII. If not, it's at least Czechoslovakia all over again.

No, I figure there'll be tut-tutting, sanctions and diplomatic finger-wagging at most. China has signaled that it's somewhere between neutral and slightly pro-Russian on this. There won't be big moves from Europe or the US, unless there's a game changer like massive attacks on civilians.

Difference is that I think Russia will only take what areas that already have a Russian majority, like the Crimea or some eastern parts of Ukraine. To go further would provoke further action. Also, I think Europe will be looking for alternative energy sources, like shale-gas from the United States to lessen their dependency on Russian gas.
