Hans Zimmer's music doesn't have the ear worm quality of John Williams, but it has a more epic and serious tone to it.

I hate to discourage the youngsters. Superman begins his second century, I am stuck in the silver age of comics. I hate the Smallvillizationof the images. the dark clothes, the dark costumes, everything dark and gritty and serious serious SERIOUS! NO costume for Superman or a very dark costume that makes him look dangerous.

Everything must be Dark Knight. OOOOOOOOoooooo

Superman's costume was patterned after acrobats in the circus. The idea of bright colorful costumes were part of the amazing newness of the genre. In the 30's clothes weren't that bright. Everyone wore, brown, blue, dark green, black. The idea of a Yellow, blue and red suit was festive and happy and amazing and drew attention. The colored inks of comic pages were a draw. They still appeal to the eye.
