This article was located by someone on the Equality Central forum, someone to whom I am indebted-- because among other things, it provides evidence for my contention in the "I entreat Euodia and Syntyche" thread that the Church Fathers were indeed influenced in their interpretation of Scripture by their own culturally-derived misogyny. It also asks some rather uncomfortable questions about the relationship between certain interpretations of Scripture, and spousal abuse.
